Rihanna further added the hashtag #FarmersProtest.
Soon, other international personalities including Swedish environment activist Greta Thunberg, also joined in.
As the issue gained prominence, Indian celebrities took to Twitter and responded with counter hashtags – #IndiaTogether and #IndiaAgainstPropaganda.
