In an interview with CaughtOffside, journalist Fabrizio Romano has spoken about the future of the Dutch star.
According to Fabrizio Romano’s revelation, Donny Van De Beek came close to leaving Old Trafford in the summer transfer window. Although he continues to be associated with Manchester United and has been given opportunities by manager Erik Ten Hag, Romano affirms that this star is very likely to bid farewell to the Red Devils in the January transfer window.
The Italian journalist stated:
“Donny Van de Beek is expected to depart in January, and this scenario is highly likely to occur. He came very close to leaving during the summer transfer window.”
“It’s too early to mention specific clubs, but De Beek was really close to joining Real Sociedad in August, although nothing ultimately happened.”
“It’s sad to see De Beek struggling at Manchester United because he seemed like a promising player at Ajax. I think he has been unlucky with injuries and hasn’t received the necessary confidence at crucial moments under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.”
