This prestigious accolade is reserved for the top player in Europe under the age of 21, who has demonstrated exceptional skills and prowess over the past year.
Jude Bellingham and Arda Guler are two Real Madrid players on the list.
The second player is very good; he joined Xavi’s team a year ago and hasn’t looked back since. There’s a good chance he could win if Bellingham wasn’t on the list. Since his big move to Madrid this summer, the Real Madrid star hasn’t looked back.
Given how good the standards are in La Liga, two out of twenty is not a great showing. However, Bellingham is the clear favorite to win the award and the Ballon d’Or, so the Spanish league can take great pride in that.
